A picturesque and welcoming landscape, framed by majestic mountains. These have always been custodians of vineyards as far as the eye can see, giving life to wines of international renown. Also along the South Tyrolean Wine Route you will find bathing lakes and historic residences.
WE LIKE TO THINK THAT IT IS THE BEST THAT THE SOUTH TYROL CAN OFFER.
Margreid and der Weinstraße, with its hamlet Favogna di Sotto, is a very ancient town in one of the most famous wine-growing areas of South Tyrol.
The historic center of Margreid has preserved its beauty over the years, narrow streets, fountains and suggestive corners make a walk through this interesting ancient village full of surprises. The ancient noble residences with architectural elements in Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance style characterize the appearance of this town.
The hamlet of Favogna di Sotto is located at about 1036 m s.l.m. Favogna, thanks to its lake and its geographical position, has always been a summer refuge for the inhabitants of Margreid, Cortaccia and Cortina, today it is a very popular destination for a pleasant day. Lake Favogna, its little church, the woods and the wonderful vegetation make this place the ideal place to relax and shake off everyday stress.
